Account Executive with MCCS Okinawa

My role with MCCS Marketing is as a project manager and coordinator; overseeing ad campaign development, design and launch for a selection of clients (Health, Wellness and Fitness, SCUBA, Auto Repair and Hobby, Golf and Lodging). Mediums that I market through include print (flyers, posters, four publications), banners and billboards, radio and television. Please see below for a selection of my work.

Gift Certificate Campaign

Goal: Promote the availability and increase sales of MCCS’s Gift Certificates through a Image from the MCCS Gift Certificate Campaign Adhumorous campaign that features models drawn from our customer base.

Tasks: Develop project plan, set timelines and coordinate with Photographer, Art Director, Writer, Marketing Chief and models to meet project deadlines and goals. Full launch was based on a strategy that consisted of print ads (flyers, posters and publication placement), web ads, banners, radio and television.

Organization Branding Campaign

Goal: To highlight MCCS leadership via a campaign that features their portraits as well as Image of an MCCS Branding Campaign Adquotes on the value that they attribute to Customer Service, a central focus in MCCS’s mission.

Tasks: Develop project plan, set timelines and coordinate with Photographer, Art Director, Writer, Marketing Chief and MCCS leaders to meet project deadlines and goals. Full launch was based on a strategy that consisted of print ads (flyers, posters and publication placement), web ads, banners, radio and television.

Rebranding: MCCS Health Promotion

Goal: Take the branding of this program from a softer, more feminine feel to a tougher, “dirt in the face” feel.

Tasks: Develop project plan, set timelines and coordinate with Photographer, Art Director, Writer, Marketing Chief and Health Promotion’s program manager to meet project deadlines and goals. Full launch was based on a strategy that consisted of print ads (flyers, posters and publication placement), web ads, banners, radio and television.

Rebranding: Personal Services Center (Currently called Marine & Family Programs-Resources)

Goal: Bring cohesiveness and consistency to the program by establishing a style sheet and solid look and feel that is recognizable and clean from a formerly overly-segmented brand identity.

Tasks: Develop project plans, timelines and coordinate with the MFP-R Program Manager and internal marketing team to meet campaign deadlines and goals. . Full launch was based on a strategy that consisted of print ads (flyers, posters and publication placement), web ads, banners, radio and TV.

Publication Development

MCCS Marketing produces four publications. Their production is the result of a department-wide effort; it involves a massive amount of coordination, planning and collaboration.

The Source– Our weekly publication. My responsibilities are coordinating the placement of current advertising for my clients.

Okinawa Living– Monthly publication. My responsibilities include coordinating editorials from the subject matter experts in my client programs,

Okinawa Guide-Annual publication that is a true introduction to Okinawa. It covers information and details on resources island-wide.

Tide Tables-Annual publication that lays out the tide schedules for the upcoming year. It also contains information on Scuba diving around the island as well as advertising for SCUBA education and products.

Radio & Television

  • I speak weekly on AFN, the island-wide radio station for the military and civilian community about MCCS programs and events.

Through MCCS Marketing’s Broadcast department:

  • Provide Voiceover support for radio commercials and TV programs

Podcast

  • Developed, produced and launched a podcast for MCCS, showcasing programs and events, complete with occasional guest speakers.

Public Speaking

  • Coordinate curriculum for and support in the facilitation of a Marketing course geared towards Program Managers and key staff at MCCS Okinawa.
  • Speak at career days for the local high schools
